Good morning forum. I am a lucky dad. My seven year old son is a water skiing nut. He popped up first pull. He has a brother and sister behind him in age, both are water crazy as well. We just started skiing again and I know he is going to want a wake board. He snow skiis and snow boards too. My boat is better suited to wake fun than flat corse skiing. Its a 20 CC fishing boat with outboard. (south Florida) OK thats me.

I tried the search feature with limited success.

Question: Suggestions for a beginners board for the little guy. 7 YO and about 55lbs. Is 7 too young? He's pretty tough.

Suggestions for a wake board for dear old dad (me) 42 yo 165 lbs. Good shape and accomplished skiier and wave surfer but never wake boarded.

Oh yeah, price is a really big deal but not at the expense of quality. I want decent learing gear that aint junk and we wont grow out of too quickly.

Thank you. great site.

He probably needs a 117-123 cm wakeboard. My son started when he was 7 on a 126 and it was a little big so we went down to a 119. Liquid Force, Obrien, CWB ect all sell kids board. Ebay is about the best place to find a deal. Bindings are important so make sure they are decent with good padding. You can find small bindings cheap on ebay as well. You probably need a 137-140cm board and same goes dont get any ultra cheap bindings or you will hate them. You can find lots of good 06-07 closeout merchandise cheap without sacrificing quality.
