I've been kneeboarding for years and thought it was about time to expand my horizons. I have a PWC so i thought wakeskating wouldbe the best choice. Only problem is that i'm a fatass. I'm currently working on that but i'm 6'4 and about 240. Im not that overweight, but i wanted to know what the best board for someone my size to start out with would be. Thanks.

NOLA - At your size the best skate you can get is a custom skate made for you. Last year Wakechick hooked me up with a custom for the same reason. There just aren't many large skates out there. A couple to look at is the Bigfoot by New as it's 43" or any of the old Kampus skates, they had some huge ones.

Good luck on your search - let us know what you find.

I found a 44' Liquid Force Anthem, havent bought it yet or anything. Would that be something ok to start on?

Yeah it's long enough to get started - I'd still look for a 9ply+ real wood skate to really give you an idea of what it's like. That deck will not be great, but it'll give you an idea if you like skating. You'll want something heavier not just longer.
