So this slingshot line, boots and boards, very curious. Is this shawk like or the real deal? It seems they only have a couple boots and a few boards. Does anyone know anything about them? Anyone ride one yet? Anything?

Seen a few boards, very thin and lightweight. Being that they are light they are also very flexible in my opinion. They look good, don't know what the verdict is on them yet.

Heard nothing but good things about them. They're relatively new to wakeboarding, but have been making kiteboards for a while. They're thin and light weight and flex for the purpose of "loading the board". Its similar to loading your line but with the board. because of the flex you have to use their bindings so don't expect to pick up a board and slap your bindings on. Anyone I've talked to thats ridden one has said they're a really good board and the board really throws you into the air. Personally I REALLY want one, but can't seem to justify the price of one since I'm still learning foundation things.

flex sounds like a bad idea in wakeboarding with sliders and stuff adding additional stresses to the board...i know flex sux balls in wakesurf boards...we tried a few true ocean skim boards and even my skinny DQ was getting a nice bow...causes constant changes to the shape of the board and the predictability of your ride is dqcity...but i dont know shiet about the slingshot products...just putting in my $0.02 about the thought of flex in the board

I totally agree that putting a flexible board on a slider sounds like a REALLY bad idea. (IMG:http://forums.wakeoutlaws.com/style_emoticons/wake/D.gif) But if you've ever ridden a HL Roam or a Ronix Covenant... they're a blast, you can do crazy things that you can't on a normal board, like nose and tail presses. the slingshot boards are meant more for open water. At least thats how I understand them

A friend of mine that's an advanced boarder who gets to demo lots of product made the switch to slingshot and says he'll never go back. The flex isn't as much as a Roam or the Ronix version so you don't get that wet noodle feel leaving the wake supposedly. I haven't tried one yet but I've heard enough good stuff about them from him and others that it'll be my next board. C'mon tax return.
