Our division requirements are based on the registration process on our web site, this is what tells us how many skim and how many surf contestants are signed up. Contestants get a single entry in their preferred division (skim/surf) and preference (regular/goofy). This attempt is to allow us to allocate prizes, coordinate timing and most importantly host a fair competition with a single goal of fun for all. More details to follow as the classes fill up. If you plan to arrive on Thursday do not forget to make arrangements with the Indian Lodge for a late check in if needed. This is a VIP-Sponsor Free-Ride hosted by Centurion, Wake Outlaws & the TWC. If you are not a sponsor and you are in town, you need to let someone know so there is room made for you. Standard accommodations are available, the Room(s) or RV spots you have Thursday will be yours thru Sunday.

Friday, June 26th 2009 - Practice
Practice will begin at 1:00 and end at 4:00, each rider will get one pass. All riders must have their event paperwork done before they can ride. Please plan to be on site before noon to have time to complete your paper work, practice will be first come first ride, show up early to ensure that you get to ride. Practice will end at 4:00pm. There should be at least one other towboat available for Free-Ride, sharing is a must Mr. Cummings.

Friday Night
Wake Outlaws is having a cookout, we will supply the hot dogs, buns, ketchup, mustard, relish and chips. This is a community effort all we ask is that everyone pitch in to help get dinner ready and clean up afterward. Feel free to bring anything Potluck style and join us for dinner. As always, we can use all the hands we can get.

Spectators: May purchase a Texas Wakesurf Championship event T-shirt for $25 which will include an armband that entitles you to one raffle entry, Lunch and Dinner.

Competitors: All the above is included in your entry fee

Extra armbands for the raffle only will be sold for $5 each or 5 for $20

Other Things:

Remember this is TEXAS and EVERYTHING is bigger including the MOSQUITOES so bring bug spray.

For those that have not been here before, it is in the country, there is a small store on site and a convenience store nearby (30 minute round trip), bring what you want to drink and eat for the weekend and then bring some extra. Each room has an refrigerator the cabins have a microwave if you are staying at the lodge.

REMEMBER!!! pick up after yourself, put all trash where it belongs!

Wake Outlaws has reserved cabins, hotel rooms, RV parking and local room rates in surrounding cities for guests. The event will be located and hosted at the Indian Lodge Resort located on the Brazos River. There is also camping available right on the river.

You will be put on a waiting list for your room after you have registered, first come, first served.

Indian Lodge Resort is located at the upper end of Lake Whitney on the Brazos River. It is conveniently located about 1 hour from both Ft. Worth and Waco, 1-1/2 hours from Dallas, 2-1/2 hours from Austin and 3-1/2 hours from Houston. Water sports and fishing enthusiasts alike will appreciate being close to excellent water and beautiful scenery.

No Refunds or rider substitutions, no exceptions. Classes will close when the class if full. It doesn't matter who you are, who you know, when the event is full it is at capacity.

Off Site Accommodations on the Water

White Bluff Resort Inn on the main body of Lake Whitney about 12 miles by boat or 25 miles by vehicle from Indian Lodge. The White Bluff Resort offers a variety of accommodations including deluxe rooms at the Inn, one and two bedroom condos.

Lakeside Village - 8 miles down the river/lake from Indian Lodge offers cabins, dock store with gas/oil service and boat ramp.

RV Spots and Camping on the Water

Kimbell Bend - Is the preferred site for RV's and Camping, it is half a mile up the river from Indian Lodge (at the bridge in the first picture of the second post). Located above Lake Whitney on the Brazos River off of Texas 174 just west of the Kimball Bend Bridge. The park is currently being revitalized with the addition of 36 electrical 50 amp hookups. There has been an additional family friendly restroom with 4 individual quadrants. The park also has a two lane boat ramp and plenty of room for parking.

Plowman Creek Park - Is 4 miles down river from the Indian Lodge giving campers water access to the event. Located off FM 56 at Kopperl, Texas on the upper end of Lake Whitney. The park offers sites right on the lake with full hook-ups, restrooms (including showers), covered picnic tables and a two lane boat ramp.

Wake World Picture Thread

I just registered for the event and called Barbara down at Indian Oaks Lodge. She said that you guys would be handing out the cabins as people registered and then to call her back to book.

Ken, do have a time frame on when we will know if we have a cabin or not??

Unfortunately there is no kids division this year. We recommend youngin's ride in the Pro-Am, it is usually a very laid back amateur comp, fun for all!

I'll tell yea where I'm not sleeping! In a tent, covered with ants, with 50MPH winds listening to BradHimself snoring and weird sounds coming from Yo Daddy's tent!
